Mallika Srinivasan is the Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer of Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd. commonly known as TAFE. It is a major Tractor business incorporated at Chennai, India. It is known for the third largest tractor manufacturer in the world and the second largest in India. The company has it presence for about 75 countries. She is on the Board of AGCO Corporation in USA, Tata Steel Ltd. and Tata Global Beverages Ltd. She is a member of the Executive Board of the Indian School of Business inHyderabad, the Governing Board Rural Technology and Business Incubator of the Indian Institute of Technology in Chennai and the Bharathidasan Institute of Management in Trichy.With her special emphasis on product development, she has ensured significant expansion of TAFE’s product range.

Mallika is a university gold-medalist in Econometrics from the University of Madras; she is graduated as a member of the Dean’s Honor List and the Alpha Beta Gamma Society in University of Pennsylvania in USA.


S. Anantharamakrishnan is the founder of TAFE which has listed him with a dream of a self-sufficient, prosperous and industrialized India. He is known as the forefront of India’s largest light engineering conglomerates. Coming back to India, Mallikaestablished TAFE as a mass manufacturer of tractors. The revenues of the company were led to a vast growth of farm machinery, diesel engines, engineering plastics, hydraulic pumps and cylinders, batteries, automobile franchises and plantations.

She led a variety of industry bodies such as the Tractor Manufacturers’ Association of India and the Madras Chamber of Commerce. This has held her in different positions such as Confederation of Indian Industry, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. Her interests include Carnatic music. She supports this through the Indira Sivasailam Foundation. She ensured that excellence was institutionalized across the organization.

She has interests in developing education and healthcare in India. She has been supporting organizations like SankaraNethralaya which is the eye care organization, the Cancer Hospital in Chennai and several facilities including education and healthcare in India.
